Elham Al Qasim
As a natural leader and visionary, Elham Al Qasim brings extensive experience to her role as Digital14’s Chief Executive Officer. Steering the organisation’s strategic direction, Elham leads over 1000 staff in their purpose-driven work to deliver trust in digital so that clients can innovate and fulfil their potential.
Prior to joining Digital14, Elham enjoyed a global career with executive roles in investment banking.
More recently, Elham was CEO of Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO). She led the establishment of ADIO’s comprehensive strategy to increase Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) to Abu Dhabi and enhance private sector participation in strategic growth projects. She has also served as Executive Director of the Ghadan 21 programme at the Abu Dhabi Executive Office where she led the strategic planning for the government’s three-year, AED 50 billion investment programme aimed at accelerating Abu Dhabi’s economy.
Prior to this, Elham was a Director of Mubadala Investment Company, focusing on Mubadala’s Technology and Industry portfolio. Her responsibilities included building investment/entry strategy, business development, value creation, and post-acquisition asset management in sectors including Metals & Mining, Semiconductors, and Technology. During this time Elham also served on the executive leadership team of Emirates Global Aluminum and delivered a two-year post-merger integration program.
Elham has served on the boards of publicly listed companies, including International Holding and the Khalifa Fund, a government-owned SME Fund.
Elham’s international career includes JPMorgan Investment Bank, where she was part of the Global Diversified Industrials Team based in London handling M&A transactions in chemicals, metals and mining, and infrastructure. She also worked for the Impetus Trust as an investment manager, screening and investing in social businesses and charities with distinct and scalable business models.
Elham holds an MSc from the School of Social Policy at the London School of Economics and a Bachelor of Business from the American University in Dubai. In April 2010, Elham became the first Arab woman to ski to the North Pole.
As Digital14’s Executive Vice President of Cyber Defence, Joshua Knight brings a rich breadth of talent and experience to the regional and global cyber defensive arena. In his role at Digital14, Joshua is in charge of overseeing and managing a total security ecosystem that combines the core advisory elements of strategy, refresh, assessment, testing, and validation for clients.
Driven by a vision to solve the issues that keep business leaders and governments up at night, Joshua’s team of cybersecurity experts delivers strategic solutions to enhance clients’ cyber security postures, deliver better business outcomes, and achieve their goals. Backed by world-class and world leading cybersecurity propositions, his team is fluent in fortifying digital roadmaps to get businesses to where they need to be.
Having amassed a wealth of experience in security services and solutions throughout his 30-year tenure, his experience has covered multiple sectors. This includes national security experience.
Before joining Digital14 Joshua served in a senior role of Global Practice Leader over the Enterprise Security Services and Solutions business at Cognizant, where he focused on managed, advisory, and professional security services. Prior to that, he held senior leadership roles with leading technology companies such as IBM, Dimension Data, and AT&T.
He brings deep domain expertise in cyber security, governance risk and compliance (GRC), identity management, and next generation services including mobile, cloud, and analytics.
Originating from Dallas, Texas, Joshua pursued an enterprise risk management pathway in his formative years that led to him becoming a revered authority for CISO’s on career advice.
Saeed Basweidan leads the Digtal14 education business unit which seeks to advance knowledge transformation by embedding digital and cyber talent in the company’s services. Within this role he is responsible for the Ajyal Talent Management offering to create and develop talent pipeline through scholarships, summer camps and courses. He also leads the Digital Academy and Cyber Academy developing students in a sequential, role-oriented approach to ensure talent is ready for real world scenarios.
Saeed has more than 18 years of leadership and project management experience in the fields of telecommunications, IT, smart building automation and cybersecurity and brings a strong background in technology integration, new media and data analytics.
Prior to joining Digital14, Saeed was the Executive Director of Technology and Applied Research at UAE Government Agencies, leading technology strategy, planning, design, project implementation and delivery, as well as system efficiency and commercial negotiations.
Prior to this, Saeed was Senior Vice President of Business Development at Mubadala Investment Company; CEO of Khazna Data Centre and COO of Injazat Data Systems.
Saeed earned a Bachelor’s Degree of Computer Science & Electronics Engineering from Weber State University, USA.
Ghazi Ben Amor
Having amassed nearly two decades of strategic acumen in the technology sector, Ghazi Ben Amor brings expert strategy and M&A aptitude to his role as Digital14’s Senior Vice President Strategy, Performance Management and Corporate Development.
As Head of Strategy, Ghazi leads a team driven towards translating Digital14’s vision into reality through strategic planning and implementation that reflects the organisation’s core tenets. Working closely with Digital14’s Leadership Team, Ghazi curates strategic initiatives that accelerate growth, build capabilities, enable operating model agility, and optimise profit.
He also has full responsibility for fostering Digital14’s strategic alliances and acquisitions, focusing on select partners that can empower Digital14 to differentiate its offerings and penetrate new markets.
Prior to joining Digital14, Ghazi served at Mubadala Investment Company where he was tasked with initiating global investments and managing a portfolio of assets in the Telecom and Technology sectors. Ghazi has also worked for Booz & Company where he led strategy projects in the MENA region’s Telecom and Media sector.
Ghazi has a Master of Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from INSEAD.
As a technology industry veteran, Nilesh Patel brings over 25 years of experience in strategic product management, business strategy, go-to-market execution, and technology evangelism to his position as Executive Vice President Secure Solutions at Digital14.
Serving as head of the Secure Solutions business for Digital14, Nilesh and his team drive the company’s strategy, execution, and delivery of end-to-end cyber security products and cloud services that protect customer’s devices, networks, data, and critical infrastructures. Nilesh and his team of innovators are driven by a passion to restore trust in digital economies. This focus promises to enable people and businesses the ability to communicate and collaborate freely in an uncompromised world.
Prior to joining Digital14, Nilesh served in network security product and business leadership roles at Palo Alto Networks in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has also accrued industry leadership experience with leading technology companies such as NetApp and Intel. He brings deep domain expertise in software and systems, cybersecurity, cloud services, data-centric platforms and services, managed services, Internet of Things, and 5G network security.
Nilesh has a Master of Science degree in electrical and computer engineering from Louisiana State University, USA.
Imad Harb leads the Government Solutions business unit at Digital14, focused on providing end-to-end systems in support of defense and security agencies’ agenda.
Previously he led Trust Services strategy and business operations for 3 years where he delivered major programs, such as the UAE National PKI, and the UAE Digital ID (UAE PASS).
Imad was formerly leading the Cyber Security Strategy offering for Booz&Co across the Middle East, co-founded many startups (such as NavLink that was acquired by AT&T), and currently sits on the board of a number of start-ups in the US, Europe and the Middle East.
He has over 20 years of experience in strategy and management consulting, where he was in charge of the implementation of leading edge technologies (covering cyber security, smart cities, and large transformations) and advising public clients through the formulation and implementation of national cyber security programs.
He holds an MBA from University of Western Ontario and a bachelor’s degree in Computer & Networks Engineering from Saint Joseph University in Beirut.
Nick Groleau is the Executive Vice President of Engineering & Technology at Digital14, where he oversees the firm’s technical activities in secure communications products, such as the KATIM phone and secure applications.
Before joining Digital14 Nick has held senior engineering positions with a number of multi-national companies in the USA and Europe, including his recent role at Elsevier where he led a global team of over 800 technologists worldwide reinventing tools to offer to academic and corporate researchers.
He also held leading engineering positions in online payments at Worldpay, Klarna, and PayPal amongst others, in the Talent Management Tools space at Work4 and Saba as well as in Telecommunications at OCtel/Lucent.
Nick started his career in research focusing on artificial intelligence systems publishing academically and building or contributing to solutions flown on the space shuttle and the International Space Station while working with NASA.
Nick earned a PhD in Intelligent Engineering Systems and a Master Degree in Civil Engineering at MIT, USA.
Tony Karam is the Executive Vice President of Digital14’s digital transformation and applied technologies business unit. In this role, he helps organisations in transforming their businesses, personalise customer as well as employee and ecosystem experiences, and unlock untapped value while leveraging advanced technologies. At Digital14, he leads an innovative team of experts who are passionate about helping governments and businesses shape and execute transformational programs that allow them to achieve their full potential.
Tony has over 21 years of experience in technology consulting and complex systems integration across North America, Europe, and the Middle East and was formerly the Managing Director of Accenture Digital in the Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey.
Tony holds a degree in electrical and computer engineering from Rutgers University in New Jersey.
